When I visited Ho Chi Minh City in 2013, a Singaporean guy whom I met at TravBuddy, Chris, took me to a nice bar called ‘Chill Skybar’ – that’s also where I made some new acquaintances from Vietnam, Korea and Cambodia. This place is visited by both locals and foreigners. The bar offers very nice music. They may not be the latest music played in radios today, but I loved every one of them.
I took the lift, all the way to the highest floor, and the minute I walked down the stairs, I felt like I was blown away by a magical force that I can’t really explain. I just said “Wow” and walked down the stairs without even looking at my steps (do not do this!). I was mesmerised by the night view of the whole city. That very moment was simply memorable. I got myself a glass of tequila and danced at the bar. The crowd was a bit boring. Nobody wanted to dance and the people around me were just talking among themselves. Oh well, maybe they preferred to have a relaxing night.
Okay, the part when I got my bill wasn’t cool. My eyes opened bigger (like two times of the size of my eyes) LOL. It was so expensive! I paid VND300,000 for a small glass of tequila. The truth is I kinda saw that coming. No regrets. It was a good night after all. 🙂
